Meet The Team
Stephen "Ty" Armstrong
I had the idea to launch Lionfish during a long overnight watch while sailing past Martinique.

3 years earlier, I had quit my career as a mechanical engineer to become a sailing yacht captain. I sailed in the Mediterranean and Caribbean on yachts ranging from thirty foot mono-hulls to sixty foot catamarans.
On many boats ranging in size and age, I noticed that each was typically equipped with similar hardware. Through maintenance and upkeep, I began to realize the designs of many common products are typically weak, prone to corrosion, or hard to repair.

With this in mind, I set out to outline a product that minimized defects from corrosion, increased product lifetime, was easily maintainable, and added new functionality.
